Part-time Program Assistant

Approximately 10 hours per week – Flexible Schedule

Some evenings and Saturdays required

The Conjunto Heritage Taller, a nonprofit cultural arts organization, seeks a dedicated professional to provide support for the programmatic needs of our organization. This is a part-time position (10 hours per week) working directly with the CHT Director to assist with organizing, coordinating and monitoring program events and classes, and with outreach and marketing. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as are data collection and analytical skills, and knowledge of social media.

Some of the Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating events and attending/monitoring studio Accordion and Bajo Sexto classes, and off-site Senior classes
  • Collect and manage data relating to student attendance, audiences, and conduct research and data analysis on various other factors
  • Work on newsletters, social media posts and other forms of communication, outreach and marketing
  • Maintain current and accurate records on student enrollment, attendance, and tuition
  • Photograph and/or videotape student performances and other events and classes for archives
  • Assist in major fundraising activities and events, such as SA Big Give, Giving Tuesday, etc.
  • Assist in putting together materials/data for grant proposals and reports
  • Communicate and interface with CHT students, parents and instructors
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director
  • Reports to and works closely with CHT Director

Qualifications and Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, as well as strong expertise with social media platforms
  • Proficiency utilizing computer and associated software programs, including MS Word, Excel, Publisher
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Research skills, and ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)/some college education, or 2-3 years of related experience or training
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience working with non-profit/community organization preferred
  • Familiarity with conjunto music and/or cultural arts a plus
  • Some evenings and Saturdays required
