Preserving Conjunto music for generations to come
The Conjunto Heritage Taller is a community based organization dedicated to the preservation and perpetuation of traditional conjunto music as played with the button accordion and bajo sexto. Established in 2002 to provide low-cost music instruction and to seek venues for its students to perform publicly, CHT is committed to exposing the community at large to conjunto music by providing music when invited and available to do so.

Our Story
Conjunto — the traditional music of South Texas — dates back to the end of the 19th century….

Our Programs:
Help Keep Conjunto Music Alive!
As a non-profit organization, the Conjunto Heritage Taller offers low cost, and sometimes free lessons, to make this opportunity accessible to anyone who has an interest in learning. We rely on grants and contributions from individuals to make this possible. Please consider donating to CHT.
